Otis Earl (Dinkey) Hudson

Otis Earl Hudson, the fourth son of John David and Francis Charity Hudson was born on January 8, 1904, in the community of Flat Creek, Missouri. It is reported that Dinkey made several trips to Southern California with his father's family, some by train and some by automobile. On March 29, 1925, Dinkey married Chloe Irene Bolin, the daughter of James Noah and Lucy Belle Bolin. They were married In Cassville, Missouri. They moved to Southern California and established residence in Rivera, where Dinkey worked on various ranches. Two children, Ivalene and Earl Gene, were born to this union.

Dinkey was employed by Universal Oil Company and went to work for them on April 3, 1926. He purchased a home in Bellflower, Calilornla, in 1930, and lived there for twenty-nine years. After selling that home, they purchased a home in Friendly Hills in East Whittier, California. Dinkey retired in 1965 after forty years with the Universal Oil Company. At the time of his retirement he was a production foreman. On September 8, 1970, Dinkey died at age sixty-six. Chloe moved to Escondido, California, to live with her daughter, Ivalene, until her death on August 29, 2003.
